{Day 24: Rebecca} Awesome things about house sitting

1. How quiet the house was.
2. How I ordered pizza for dinner and got the one that no one else likes (Vegetarian, extra olives).
3. How, because I was the only one there I had leftover pizza AND it was still there when I went to have it for dinner the next night
4. Snuggly kitties with only me to give them cuddles
5. How their house key is a Tesa brand, which made me think of Tesla, which made me nerd happy
6. That their TV is bigger than my bed. (okay maybe not quite, but still it’s pretty big)
7. Opening a drink, putting it back in the fridge, and having it still be there when I came back
8. Watching my TV show in the lounge room
9. Being allowed to sit on the lounge
10. How when I needed a ruler I opened my friends desk drawer to grab one and there were eleven rulers just sitting there right on top. ELEVEN. Now either Wendy has a ruler obsession that she hasn’t told anyone about or her study is actually the Room of Requirement but either way I was majorly impressed. I’m hard pressed to find ONE ruler in my drawer.
11. Waking up in the middle of the night to find that I was wearing a cat as a hat.
12. Speaking of cats: their crazy acrobatic cats who run and jump and hurdle and catapult. (hehe cat-apult)
13. Their weird double screened computer. I used Wendy’s computer to reply to some email and she has two monitors set up that make one big screen. It’s very cool.
14. All the inappropriate jokes I made about wild parties before they left
15. How their dvd player is a laptop attached to the tv and you have to use a mouse to work it.
16. Sitting on the steps patting a dog who is happy to see you (I love that it doesn’t matter who you are, dogs are always happy to see you)
17. Their cool see through sink.
18. How, having left the pizza box on the bench so I could throw it out, I then had to coax a sleeping cat off it. It just gave me a ‘hey man, you had the pizza, I have the box, now scoot’ kind of look and just rolled back over and went back to sleep.
19. Having the bejeezes scared out of me when Rick came home unexpectedly and scared me. Okay that wasn’t so cool, but it led to...
20. Geeking out over Warehouse 13 with Rick
21. How when I changed my DVD over I realised they had Warehouse 13 on their media player and got in trouble from Courtney for nearly breaking our ‘gentleman’s agreement’
22. Realising that I have all the makings of a crazy cat lady because of all the long conversations I had with the cats
23. Playing book spy with the bookshelf
24. Having lots of uninterrupted reading time
